How Stump Grinding Works
Our grinder chews the stump and major surface roots into mulch, typically 200–300mm below ground level — deep enough to returf or replant over. The grindings can be left as free mulch backfill, or we can remove them and backfill with soil so the spot is ready to use immediately.
Our equipment fits through standard gates and side access, so backyard stumps are no problem.

Grinding removes the stump and major surface roots. The deeper root system is left to decay naturally underground — it can't regrow once the stump and root crown are ground out.

Can I plant a new tree where the old stump was?
